2011-2012
Birthday: September 17
Julie is the head teacher of the 4-5 year old classroom. She has received an associates degree from Parkland College. If she were not teaching these kids she would like to teach home economics at the high school. Julie has lived in Tolono for all but 2 years of her life. After graduating from Parkland College in dental hygiene she worked in Springfield and Monticello. She married her loving husband Jack in 1980. They built the home they live in today in 1980 as well. Julie has been with Hand in Hand for 16 years. She has worked with children in all age groups and enjoys them all.
Julie's oldest daughter Kelley and her husband Eric live in Tuscola. Her younger daughter Alyson is a senior at Unity High School and is researching colleges. She has 3 pets-- a dog named Iris, a cat named Millie, and a turtle names Tortuga. Julie is the 4th of 5 children in her family. She has one brother and 3 sisters. She loves many sports such as the Atlanta Braves baseball, Dallas cowboys football, Unity and the ILLINI. She likes football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, gymnastics and watching daycare kids play t-ball. So if your child plays t-ball Julie would love to come watch just let her know and she will try her hardest to catch one event.
When Julie is not working she enjoys working in her flower garden, sewing, baking, riding on the Harley with jack, and traveling around the beautiful USA!

Hello! Most of you have seen be around, but sometimes I do not get a chance to tell you about myself. I am pleased to say that I work with the children and co-teachers in this classroom. I have a Associates Degree in Child Development from Parkland. I graduated Tuscola Community High School in 2007, and have also had schooling at Decatur Technical Academy and Richland Community College.
I live in Tuscola with my Husband, Josh. We got married on 10/10/10 and bought a house. I have an older brother Brian, and my parents are Nellie and Kevin. Also I have four cats: Baxter, Boots, Puppy, and Katana; and two dogs: Mocha and Oaklee spread between three houses.
I have been working at Hand in Hand since 2006, and work part-time at Famous Footwear outlet in Tuscola. I am also a Sunday school teacher for Atwood Christian Church. I have been a nanny, babysitter, and volunteer too.
I have always loved working with children. I feel that childhood is the most important part of life. It is the base part of your life, and it effects how your life is later. My future plans are to open my own daycare center in Tuscola, and have children. I am also thinking about going back to school for a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I am looking forward to this new class and know we will have a great year..
