Ashley is the head teacher of the 3-4 year old room. She has been with Hand in Hand for 2 years and worked for a year at Wee Care in Sidney before that. She is a Unity graduate and has received an associates degree in general studies at Parkland in 2005. She is now continuing classes for child development and hopes to receive her CDA certificate soon. She is also director qualified.

Ashley has lived in Philo for 19 years. She has a brother, Derek, who is 27. Ashley enjoys working with the kids in different developmental areas and loves to watch them grow. Creating arts and crafts is Ashley�s favorite part of the day.

March Themes: St. Patrick's Day, Spring, and flowers

Spring
The temperature is slowly rising and there are patches of green grass on the playground. Spring is the subject we will explore at school. Throughout the weeks, the children will become more aware of the many changes that take place during this season, as well as common spring activities. They will be exposed to spring holidays such as St. Patrick's Day, and plants, animals, and insects.

Flowers
As spring arrives and all the flowers begin to bloom we will begin a unit on flowers. Through this unit the children will learn about the care, uses, and parts of a flowering plant. They will also learn about places where flowers are grown as well as the names of flowers and their containers.
